3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION 3.1

PROBLEM

knowledge field of public health today is troubled by the processes of globalization, the development of health system mediated by insurance, privatization of the institutions and the development of collective insults have become challenges for the health of the people, deriving them from the technological advances of contemporary human behavior and environmental risk processes that progress has been made the agenda for the health sector.
We are facing old problems that require new approaches and new problems arising from situations consequences of the application of science and technology. In addition, emerging diseases and re - emerging challenges imposed on us there is no way to escape, for the sake of humanity and life phenomenon. Such problems, old and new, involve the interaction of basic biomedical sciences, social, humanistic and clinics therefore we must continue unveiling its borders giving rise to areas of contact between them, exploring their limits, to facilitate the emergence of new understandings and effective solutions.
So I think public health is mandatory for countries and regions in particular, and from that period of reflection the teaching of natural and social sciences will have to think. The curricula of health schools should be fed back from this exercise and epistemological research. 3.2 JUSTIFICATION


The Faculty of Health Sciences in Area Social, Community and Humanistic education has stimulated reflection about the teaching of science regarding public health. The curriculum in this area requires conceptual stage to facilitate the integration of their fields of knowledge and coordination with the areas of biomedical and clinical sciences.

Likewise, vertical integration is necessary between the educational levels of college, from undergraduate to post grades and between programs.

Free University of Cali, as the second university in the south - west, a leader in research processes, with 10 groups recognized by Colciencias, has a duty to open a regional forum for reflection, with national and international, to provide for the construction of thought on global public health, national, regional and local levels. Is in the social ethical duty to support and contribute to the collective efforts of local experts to stimulate novel insights to the problems facing the health of the people. The Public Health
LECTURE Unilibre should become permanent and open space to achieve the purposes mentioned. 3.3 Population

OBJECTIVE:

- public health professionals attached to the Social Security System in the various administrative levels.
- Teachers Faculties of Health Sciences, nursing and medicine, both Unilibre as the other colleges in the region.
- The leaders and politicians at national, regional and local levels.
- Health professionals graduated from the Free University
- Students in Free University Health

4. OBJECTIVES 4.1 Objectives


GENERAL. Develop an open and ongoing LECTURE Public Health, for professionals, students and teachers of the sciences related to health groups, such as a swap reflective thinking and knowledge building around the field of public health and medicine social serve as academic setting support for the formulation of public policies in health and disease control, seeking always the welfare and quality of life of individuals in the region and the country, the institutions that train health human resources, as well as governors, legislators and administrators,


4.2 Specific objectives - To promote, within the health system stakeholders, the development of knowledge concerning the health of the collective, integrative perspectives such as public health, epidemiology, social medicine, family and community, leading to the solution of specific problems.
- Define lines of research relevant to maintaining and improving the health of the collective.
- Establish routes curriculum development for training of health human resources consistent with the context of globalization and the dynamic local, regional and national.
- Establish routes for the construction of theoretical and experimental foundations that support public policy at local, regional, national and international.
- Knit a network of professionals, experts and social scientists, regional, inter-university and inter-agency, to facilitate the realization of the above objectives.


5. METHODOLOGY
The LECTURE will be held permanently, if possible once a month, in the form of SEMINAR - FORUM or seminar - workshop, under the guidance of a professional health sciences or related to recognized local history, regional, national or international.

The guest speaker will be designed to perform three activities, intensity depend on the nature of it:

Activity 1. Open seminar
Activity 2. Discussion with students or teachers
Activity 3. Research advisory groups as invited field of knowledge

5.1 THE SEMINAR. This activity will be the academic core guest. You will be asked the same pre-text of his lecture. Dissertation will be taxed and the shares of the attendees. With the text and the transcript of the shares will be organized annual publication of a working notebook of memories as the chair.
